The sixth season of StarStruck premiered on September 7, 2015 replacing Reply 1997. After more than five years of hiatus, GMA Network re-launched the Philippines’ original “artista” search on television for its sixth season. Dingdong Dantes reprises his role as the host for this edition[4][5] He has been the host of Starstruck since the first season. After signing an exclusive contract of one year in GMA Network in March 2015, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, who is an alumna from the second season, joins Dantes as main host for this season. Joining Dantes and Young as segment hosts are StarStruck graduates Rocco Nacino (Season 5 Second Prince), Kris Bernal (Season 4 Ultimate Love Team), Mark Herras (Season 1 Ultimate Male Survivor) and Miguel Tanfelix (StarStruck Kids First Prince). They serve as Journey Hosts who are tasked to join the hopefuls as they go through every phase of the competition. There are four judges known as The Council to oversee the finalists. Joey de Leon, dubbed as the Entertainment Guru comes back as part of the StarStruck Council. The Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez sits in as a first-time member of the Council. The first ever Ultimate Female Survivor, now a prime actress, singer and host, Jennylyn Mercado is also part of the panel While serving as a host, Dantes also sits as a judge for this season.
